£600.00
Sold Out

Wednesday 9th & Thursday 10th July 2025

A two-day, non-residential course led by Matthew Rice. Everyday, Matthew works within his sketchbooks, using them in much the same way that other people keep diaries. Recording all that surrounds him within their pages, sketching up new pottery designs and noting what grows well in his garden. Over the two days of this course, you will learn how to really look at what you are drawing, how to measure and how to translate your subject onto paper. You will work with pencil, pen and watercolour and leave with the beginnings of a sketchbook that you will hopefully fill up over time. Matthew is a very patient and generous teacher, so this course is suitable for total beginners as well as those more experienced.
