Tulip in a Bottle Show with Bampton Gardening Club - Saturday 19th April 2025

£0.00

Saturday 19th April 2025

**PLEASE NOTE - TICKETS ONLY AVAILABLE ON THE GATE ON THE DAY, WEBSITE TICKETS ARE NOT VALID**

Last April we held the first ever Tulip in a Bottle Show with Bampton Gardening Club. The club was started in 1866 and ran until the Covid pandemic hit and it was sadly discontinued, however local wonder woman Jo Lewington reignited the flame in2023 and has breathed new life into the club ever since.

The day was a major success and the club recruited lots of new members, and the incredible Tulips were judged by the wonderful Rachel de Thame.

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s judge is the queen of Tulips herself, Polly Nicholson, also known as Bayntun Flowers, who holds the National Historic Tulip Collection at her home in Wiltshire. Anything Polly doesn’t know about Tulips, quite frankly isn’t worth knowing! Her recently published book The Tulip Garden: Growing and Collecting Species, Rare and Annual Varieties is an encyclopaedic introduction to growing and collecting Tulips with beyond expert advice from Polly and her team at Bayntun.
